Metro: Lines 3 and 5 take you to central stations (Xativa, Colon) in approximately 25 minutes. A single ticket carries an airport supplement on top of the standard zone fare — check the current price on the Metrovalencia app or a ticket machine, as we could not confirm an authoritative live figure. It's generally the cheapest option that still gets you there quickly.
Taxi: Metered, not flat-rate. The official tariff for the joint service area that includes Manises airport (Generalitat Valenciana, in force since a resolution published 30 December 2025) is 2.00 EUR to start plus 1.36 EUR per km on the day tariff, or 2.60 EUR to start plus 1.48 EUR per km at night, on Sundays, and on holidays. Airport-origin trips carry a 12.50 EUR minimum fare. For the roughly 8 km into the city center that works out to about 13-18 EUR. Tariffs are reviewed periodically — check the meter.
Uber / Cabify: Pricing is dynamic, set by the app at booking time. Generally cheaper than a metered taxi during off-peak hours, but during events like Fallas or major football matches, surge pricing can match or exceed the taxi tariff. Check the app for a live quote.
Pre-booked private transfer: Costs more than a metered taxi for door-to-door comfort in a newer sedan or minivan. Get a live quote when you book, since pricing varies by operator and vehicle.
EMT Bus (line 150): The cheapest option but takes 30-40 minutes with stops — check the current single fare with EMT Valencia, as we could not confirm an authoritative live figure.

When the Metro Beats Everything
For solo travelers heading to a hotel near a metro station, the metro is hard to beat on price. For two people, it is still generally cheaper than a car. For three or more, a metered taxi (roughly 13-18 EUR into the center) split three ways is often comparable to individual metro tickets and saves hassle with luggage — compare the live fares on the day.
Watch Out For
The metro airport supplement catches some people off guard — it is added automatically to any trip starting from the airport station. The taxi's night/Sunday/holiday tariff is higher than the day tariff, so a late arrival costs more than the daytime figures above. If you are arriving during Fallas (March), transport demand spikes and rideshare prices climb. Taxis run on the fixed official tariff regardless of demand, which makes them the predictable choice during busy periods.
