Late night arrivals at Valencia Airport

Valencia Airport handles flights into the late evening, with the last scheduled arrivals typically around 11 PM-midnight. Delayed flights can push even later. Here is what to expect.

Metro hours

The Metrovalencia runs until approximately 11:30 PM on weekdays and later on Friday and Saturday nights (service until around 1:30 AM on weekends). If your flight lands before 11 PM and you clear quickly, you may catch the last weekday train. Check the schedule for your specific travel date, as it varies.

After the last metro, car-based transport is your only option.

Taxis after dark

Taxis operate 24 hours at VLC. The rank outside arrivals is staffed even late at night. Availability is good — Valencia has a healthy taxi fleet and the airport is busy enough to keep drivers around. The night supplement (after 10 PM) adds a few euros to the standard flat fare, bringing the total to approximately 23-28 EUR to the center.

This is the easiest late-night option. Walk out, join the short queue, and you are on your way in minutes.

Uber and Cabify

Both services run late at night with reduced driver numbers. Wait times of 5-15 minutes are typical after midnight. Fares are often lower than daytime since there is less demand. A late-night ride to the center might cost 12-18 EUR.

Pre-booked transfers

A private transfer guarantees a driver is waiting regardless of the hour. For arrivals after midnight, especially during low season when the airport is quieter, this guarantee has value. The price is the same as daytime — 30-45 EUR.

The drive

Valencia at night is fast. The 8 km to the center takes about 10-12 minutes with empty roads. The route is well-lit. Spain is generally safe and Valencia is no exception, though standard city precautions apply.

Our recommendation

For most late-night arrivals at VLC, a taxi is the simplest and best-value option. The flat rate with night supplement is fair, availability is good, and the ride is short. A pre-booked transfer makes sense if you want absolute certainty or need specific arrangements like a child seat. The metro is only viable if your timing aligns with its schedule.
