Metro hours
The Metrovalencia runs until approximately 11:30 PM on weekdays and later on Friday and Saturday nights (service until around 1:30 AM on weekends). If your flight lands before 11 PM and you clear quickly, you may catch the last weekday train. Check the schedule for your specific travel date, as it varies.

Taxis after dark
Taxis operate 24 hours at VLC. The rank outside arrivals is staffed even late at night. Availability is good — Valencia has a healthy taxi fleet and the airport is busy enough to keep drivers around. After 10 PM the higher night tariff applies: 2.60 EUR to start plus 1.48 EUR per km (versus 2.00 EUR + 1.36 EUR/km by day), set by the Generalitat Valenciana and in force since a resolution published 30 December 2025. For the roughly 8 km into the center that comes to about 15-19 EUR.
This is the easiest late-night option. Walk out, join the short queue, and you are on your way in minutes.
Uber and Cabify
Both services run late at night with reduced driver numbers. Wait times of 5-15 minutes are typical after midnight. Pricing is dynamic and set by the app, so check it for a live fare — it can be lower than daytime with less traffic, or higher during surge periods.
Pre-booked transfers
A private transfer guarantees a driver is waiting regardless of the hour. For arrivals after midnight, especially during low season when the airport is quieter, this guarantee has value. Get a live quote when you book, as pricing varies by operator.
The drive
Valencia at night is fast. The 8 km to the center takes about 10-12 minutes with empty roads. The route is well-lit. Spain is generally safe and Valencia is no exception, though standard city precautions apply.

For most late-night arrivals at VLC, a taxi is the simplest and best-value option. The metered night tariff is fair and predictable, availability is good, and the ride is short. A pre-booked transfer makes sense if you want absolute certainty or need specific arrangements like a child seat. The metro is only viable if your timing aligns with its schedule.
