Split Airport gives you three practical transport options. Each suits a different type of traveler.
Bus line 37
Promet Split's line 37 runs Split - Airport - Trogir. Promet does not name the Split stop on its line page, so check its map before you travel. The airport website also lists a separate shuttle bus between the terminal and Split main bus station.
The fare is 2 EUR bought in advance (ticket office, online or on a value card), or 4 EUR paid to the driver, on Promet's Split-Kaštela tariff valid from 1 June 2026. Promet's timetable shows departures mostly every 20 to 30 minutes during the day, and it gives about 50 minutes airport to Split and about 10 minutes airport to Trogir.
The limitation is that the bus does not take you to your door. If your accommodation is in Diocletian's Palace area or a specific part of Split, you may need a taxi or a walk with your luggage. For late arrivals, Promet's timetable shows the last departures at about midnight from Split and 23:45 from Trogir, so check the airport stop time first.
Airport taxis
The airport website says taxis wait near the main terminal building while the airport is open. It does not publish a fare, so ask the driver for an estimate to your destination before you set off. You walk out, get in a car going directly to your destination, and need no pre-planning.
Pre-booked private transfer
A driver assigned to your flight meets you on arrival. You go directly to your accommodation at a price fixed when you book, which you can compare against a taxi estimate.
The main advantage is certainty: the price is quoted at booking and the pickup is arranged in advance. For late arrivals, early departures, families with children, or destinations the bus does not serve such as Makarska or Omiš, a pre-booked transfer is simpler to arrange.
If you are going to Hvar, a pre-booked service lets you confirm the correct drop-off point in advance, since Jadrolinija's car ferry and catamaran are different services.

Solo traveler to Split center:
- Bus: 2 EUR prepaid or 4 EUR from the driver

Couple to Split center:
- Bus: 4 EUR prepaid or 8 EUR from the driver, in total
- Taxi / transfer: get a quote
Family of four to Split center:
- Bus: 8 EUR prepaid or 16 EUR from the driver at full adult fares
- Taxi / transfer: get a quote
Any traveler to Trogir:
- Bus: line 37 continues to Trogir; Promet's Kaštela-Trogir ticket is 1.75 EUR prepaid or 3.50 EUR from the driver
- Taxi / transfer: confirm the fare directly
The practical recommendation
Solo travelers and couples going to central Split on a daytime flight: bus line 37 is the cheapest published option. Families, groups, late arrivals, and anyone going to Makarska, Omiš, or the Hvar ferry: a taxi or pre-booked transfer is simpler.
