The only publicly published fare for Split Airport transport is the Promet Split bus (line 37). The airport website does not publish a taxi fare, and pre-booked transfers quote a price at booking, so for taxis ask the driver for an estimate and for transfers compare the quote before you travel. Here is what to expect on the most common routes.
To Split city center / Old Town (20 km)
- Bus line 37: 2 EUR bought in advance (ticket office, online or on a value card), or 4 EUR paid to the driver, on Promet Split's Split-Kaštela tariff valid from 1 June 2026. The bus takes about 50 minutes to Split according to Promet. Promet does not name the Split stop on its line page, so check its map before you travel.
- Airport taxi: Taxis wait near the main terminal building while the airport is open. No fare is published, so ask the driver for an estimate before you set off.
- Pre-booked transfer: Price is fixed and shown at booking; compare it against a taxi estimate.
To Trogir (6 km)
- Bus line 37: The same line continues to Trogir, about 10 minutes from the airport. Promet's Kaštela-Trogir single ticket is 1.75 EUR prepaid or 3.50 EUR from the driver.
- Airport taxi / pre-booked transfer: Confirm the fare with the driver or provider.
To Kaštela, Solin, Omiš, Makarska, the Hvar ferry port in Split, Šibenik and Dubrovnik
Line 37 does not serve these destinations directly. No official taxi tariff is published for them, so get a fixed quote from your transfer provider, or ask a taxi driver for an estimate, before departure.
Note for the Hvar ferry: Jadrolinija runs a car ferry to Stari Grad and a separate catamaran to Hvar Town, so confirm which one you are taking when you book.
What affects the price
Group size matters for the bus. The fare above is per person at full adult fares, so a family pays more than a solo traveler.
Distance is the main cost driver for taxis and transfers: Trogir is 6 km from the airport and Split is 20 km.
Time of day and extras: ask your provider whether a late-night surcharge applies, and check the quote for luggage or vehicle size.
Vehicle size affects transfer pricing. Larger vehicles for bigger groups or extra luggage are quoted at booking.
Best value by situation
Budget solo traveler to Split: Bus line 37 is the cheapest published option at 2 EUR prepaid or 4 EUR from the driver. Couple to Split center: 4 EUR prepaid or 8 EUR from the driver for two; a transfer gives direct hotel drop-off for a price agreed at booking. Family of four to Split: Compare the bus at full adult fares against a transfer quote. Going to Trogir: Line 37 or a taxi or transfer; compare the quote with the bus fare. Going to Makarska or Omiš: Line 37 does not go there; ask for a fixed quote before you book.
