Getting from Tallinn Airport to the city center

Tallinn Airport is remarkably close to the city center, just 4 km away. A taxi takes 10-15 minutes. A tram takes about 20 minutes. This is one of the most conveniently located airports in Europe. Honestly, getting into Tallinn from the airport is one of the easiest airport transfers you will encounter.

Tallinn Airport is a single terminal, modern, clean, and efficient. Estonia is in the Schengen zone, so if you are arriving from another Schengen country, there is no immigration check. For non-Schengen arrivals, passport control is typically fast.

Baggage claim is straightforward with a few carousels. After collecting your bags, you walk through a short arrivals corridor with ATMs, a currency exchange, and a few shops. The exit leads directly to the ground transport area. The entire process from landing to standing outside rarely exceeds 20-30 minutes.

Taxi: The taxi rank is directly outside arrivals. Tallinn taxis use meters and are regulated. You should not need to negotiate. The fare to the Old Town or city center is typically 5-10 EUR.
