What we could and couldn't verify
The only fare we could confirm from an official source is the public bus ticket. Estonia does not regulate taxi fares by law, and Bolt's and pre-booked transfer prices vary by demand, operator, and vehicle, so we aren't quoting numbers we can't stand behind for those.

Prices to specific areas
We can't verify per-destination taxi or transfer fares for Old Town, Viru Square, Telliskivi, Pirita, or the port — Estonian taxi fares aren't regulated and transfer prices vary by operator. All of these are within a few kilometres of the airport (Pirita is the furthest at about 12 km), so expect a short ride regardless of destination; confirm the fare with your driver or transfer operator before you travel.
Why Tallinn is so cheap
The simple answer is distance. At 4 km, the airport is practically in the city, so any ride — metered, app-priced, or pre-booked — stays short and therefore inexpensive in practice. Combined with Estonia's reasonable cost of living (compared to Scandinavia or Western Europe), transport from the airport is generally affordable.
Payment practicalities
Estonia uses the euro and is one of the most cashless societies in the world. You can pay by card on the bus, in taxis, and through Bolt. Carrying cash is optional. ATMs are available in the terminal if you prefer cash.
Cost comparison with other Baltic airports
Tallinn is the closest of the three Baltic capital airports to its city center — about 4 km, versus roughly 10 km for Riga and 7 km for Vilnius — which tends to make the ride shorter and cheaper here even without a verified cross-city fare comparison in euros.
