Valencia Airport is one of the most affordable airports to get into the city from in Spain. The distance is short and every option is reasonably priced.
Current Prices in 2026
All prices in euros (EUR).
Metro: About 5 EUR per person including the airport supplement. Lines 3 and 5 take you to central stations (Xativa, Colon) in approximately 25 minutes. This is the cheapest option that still gets you there quickly.
Taxi: Flat fare of approximately 20 EUR to the city center (zone A). Night supplement, Sunday/holiday supplement, and luggage supplement can add 2-8 EUR depending on circumstances. Total rarely exceeds 28 EUR.
Uber / Cabify: 12-20 EUR to the center. Pricing is dynamic but generally cheaper than taxis during off-peak hours. During events like Fallas or major football matches, surge pricing can match or exceed taxi fares.
Pre-booked private transfer: 30-45 EUR to central Valencia for a standard sedan. Premium vehicles and minivans are more. This is the comfort premium option.
EMT Bus (line 150): About 1.50 EUR per person. The cheapest option but takes 30-40 minutes with stops.

When the Metro Beats Everything
For solo travelers heading to a hotel near a metro station, the 5 EUR metro is hard to beat. For two people, it is still cheaper than any car. For three or more, a taxi at 20 EUR split three ways is barely more than individual metro tickets and saves hassle with luggage.
Watch Out For
The metro airport supplement catches some people off guard — it is added automatically to any trip starting from the airport station. Taxi supplements for night/weekend add up. If you are arriving during Fallas (March), transport demand spikes and rideshare prices climb. Taxis keep their flat rate regardless, which makes them the predictable choice during busy periods.
