EPU - Pärnu

How much does it cost to get from Pärnu Airport to the city?

The short answer: very little. Pärnu Airport is only 4 km from the city centre, making this one of the cheapest airport-to-city transfers you will encounter.

Bolt taxi

Using the Bolt app, a ride from EPU to central Pärnu typically costs 5-8 EUR. The fare is calculated by the app based on distance and time, so there are no surprises. This is the cheapest practical option.

Local taxi companies

Calling a Pärnu taxi company directly will cost roughly 8-12 EUR including the dispatch/pickup fee. Companies like Pärnu Takso or Tulika Takso serve the area. The ride itself is the same short journey, but the pickup charge adds a few euros.

Pre-booked transfer

A private transfer booked in advance costs 15-25 EUR for a sedan. You pay more for the convenience of having someone wait for you at the terminal. For a minivan (useful for groups), expect 20-35 EUR.

Longer journeys

If Pärnu is not your final stop:

  • Pärnu to Tallinn (130 km): Transfer 100-150 EUR, or bus from Pärnu centre 10-15 EUR
  • Pärnu to Tartu (170 km): Transfer 120-170 EUR
  • Pärnu to Kuressaare/Saaremaa (via ferry): Transfer to Virtsu port ~60-80 EUR, then ferry
  • Pärnu to Haapsalu (100 km): Transfer 80-120 EUR

Currency and payment

Estonia uses the euro. Bolt handles payment through the app (card or cash). Local taxis accept both cash and card in most cases. There is no ATM at the airport, so have some euros on you or a working card.

Bottom line

For the 4 km ride into Pärnu, you are looking at 5-12 EUR by taxi or 15-25 EUR for a pre-booked transfer. This is one of those airports where transport cost is essentially a non-issue — the fare is negligible compared to what you will spend on your holiday in Pärnu.
