Arriving at Vnukovo Airport Late

A late landing at Vnukovo has more public options than at most airports, but there are a few traps.

The N11 night bus

The operator lists the N11 night bus between Kitay-Gorod and the airport, about every 30 minutes. From the airport to the centre it runs from 23:30 to 04:30. From the centre to the airport it runs from 01:00 to 06:00. The operator's bus page gives no fare figure, so check the bus operator's own page.

Bus 911 and the other routes

Bus 911, from Salarievo metro, runs from 05:11 to 02:01, about every 7 minutes, and takes 18-20 minutes. Bus 911k runs from 05:33 to 00:48, bus 272 from 05:02 to 00:30, and bus 579 from 06:00 to 00:57. The express train to Kievskiy Railway Station runs until 23:15 from the airport. The operator's pages we read give no night metro hours, so check them yourself.

The Terminal A passage

The entrance to the Terminal A building from the underground passage is closed from 01:30 to 05:30. The metro station and the train platform both lead to Terminal A by underground passage, so if you are travelling to the airport at those hours, plan how you will reach the building.

Taxis and transfers

The operator says a taxi is available at any time, and the fare depends on the service, distance, time of day and demand. There is no official tariff. A pre-booked transfer is arranged before you fly: give your flight number and your accommodation address at booking, and check your booking confirmation for the meeting point. Stopping in front of the terminal or on the viaduct is prohibited, so the meeting point may be elsewhere. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated there. The bottom line

If you land between about 23:30 and 06:00, the N11 can work for the centre, and bus 911 works until 02:01. For a door-to-door ride at any hour, choose a taxi or a transfer you confirmed in advance.
