Varna Airport Transfers: What You Actually Need to Know

Varna Airport (VAR) sits about 10 km west of the city center. A pre-booked private transfer runs roughly 20-30 EUR depending on your destination along the coast. Bus 409 connects the airport to the city center, though it stops running in the evening and can be a struggle with heavy luggage.

Car rental: Several desks in the arrivals hall. Roads in Bulgaria are generally fine, though some coastal routes get congested in summer.
