Trapani-Birgi Airport has scheduled coaches, a taxi rank at the terminal exit and rental cars, and many visitors also pre-book a private transfer. Which one fits depends on where you are going and what you carry.
When the coach makes sense
Airgest lists scheduled coach connections with Trapani, Marsala, Palermo, Sciacca and Agrigento, with tickets sold at the airport ticket office. It may suit a light-luggage traveller going to one of those places. Fares are not on the airport page, so ask the operator or the ticket office.

When a taxi is the right call
The rank is at the terminal exit, in front of the main doors. Airgest publishes a fixed fare of 35.00 EUR from and to the airport for each of Trapani and Marsala. For other destinations, the published tariff for journeys starting at the airport is an initial charge of 3.00 EUR, a minimum fare of 14.50 EUR and 1.50 EUR per km including the return, so agree how the fare is set, and the total, first.
When a pre-booked transfer makes sense
Smaller towns and resorts: destinations such as Erice, Valderice, Custonaci or San Vito Lo Capo are not on the airport's coach list, and a transfer goes to the door.
Groups and children: a larger vehicle can be arranged in advance, and a child seat can be requested with the child's age and weight.
Late arrivals: the terminal closes from 00:30 to 04:30 according to Airgest. A transfer confirmed before you fly removes the uncertainty. Check the booking confirmation for how delays are handled.

Meeting your driver
If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated in the booking confirmation. If not, the confirmation says where to meet.
The bottom line
For Trapani or Marsala, a taxi under the fixed fare is a known quantity. For anywhere else, or with children and bags, a pre-booked transfer saves the last leg and the guesswork.
