The airport's technical data places the airfield 16.5 km east-northeast of El Calafate. Our route database (estimates, not live) gives about 16 km and about 24 minutes to El Calafate city centre. For El Chaltén and the Perito Moreno Glacier we have active routes but no distance estimate on file; check the journey time with your provider.

The National Parks page gives 80 km from El Calafate along RP 11 to the Perito Moreno Glacier area, and the access portal as about 50 km from the town. These distances start from the town, not the airport.

The airport lists these in the arrivals area and asks you to reconfirm fares with each provider. Ask the desk for the current fare before you pay.

The bottom line
The town is a short ride; the glacier and El Chaltén are long roads. For the longer routes, a fixed, confirmed price before you fly helps.
