Figari Airport with Children and Luggage

Last updated: October 2026

Popular FSC transfers - fixed price, book in minutes

Arriving at Figari with children means a journey that may continue for some time, because the airport lists Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio at 22 km, Sartene at 44 km and Propriano at 55 km. This page lists what the airport publishes and what you should confirm yourself.

Inside the terminal

For baby-changing rooms, lifts and trolleys, check the airport website or ask staff. The airport pages we checked do not describe these, so we do not either.

Option 1: a taxi from arrivals

Taxis are parked in front of the arrivals area, so there is little walking with luggage. The airport does not publish a tariff, so agree an estimate with the driver before you set off. The airport pages say nothing about child seats, so ask the taxi operator in advance; the airport lists the drivers' phone numbers. Do not assume a seat will be available.

Option 2: the shuttle to Porto-Vecchio

The shuttle runs daily all year and takes about 30 minutes, with tickets sold on board. With children, the effort is the transfer between the shuttle and your accommodation. That is fine if you are staying in town; otherwise you need another leg.

Option 3: a pre-booked transfer

Request the child seat at booking and give the child's age and weight so the right type is arranged. Ask for a vehicle with space for strollers and bags. The price is fixed at booking (see the live From price on this page). If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the confirmation tells you where to meet.

Child seat rules

Child-restraint rules in France should be confirmed with an official source or your transfer provider. We do not state them here.

Luggage logistics

With a stroller, a car seat and several suitcases, tell your provider the numbers when you book so the vehicle is the right size. If you will travel on public transport, remember that the shuttle may not go to your final stop.

Planning the day

With children, the last stretch is often the longest. Choose your option before you land, keep snacks and documents within reach, and let your host know your expected arrival time. If your hotel or villa has a check-in window, confirm it with them in advance, and keep the booking confirmation on your phone. If you plan to use the shuttle or an onward bus, check the timetable for the day you travel and keep a taxi or a pre-booked transfer in mind as a fallback, particularly if a delay could make you miss the last service.
