Dubai World Central: Taxi or Pre-booked Transfer

Both options take you to your accommodation. The difference is how much you know before you travel.

The taxi

The airport's taxi page states: "The starting fare from the airport is AED 25". That is the only taxi figure on the page. For the metre rates it refers you to the official taxi operator's website and gives no figure or date, so we do not estimate a total. We found no official fixed tariff to the city centre, to Downtown Dubai or to Dubai Marina. The page tells you to follow the official taxi stands at the terminals or ask the staff.

Pre-booked private transfer

A pre-booked transfer is arranged before you fly, and the price is confirmed at booking. The live price to Dubai Marina is from EUR 38. The live price to Downtown Dubai is from EUR 38. Use the quote tool on this page for other destinations, because the price depends on the route and the vehicle. Check your booking confirmation for the meeting point and for how flight delays are handled. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated there.

How to choose

Choose the taxi if: you want to leave straight away and are happy to pay the metre fare after the AED 25 start.

Choose a pre-booked transfer if: you want the price settled before you fly, you arrive late, you travel with children or many bags, or you are a group. Request a child seat at booking and give the child's age and weight, because no official statement on child seats in taxis was found.

The buses

Line F55 goes to EXPO Metro Station and line N55 to the Ibn Battuta stations, each every 30 minutes. The airport page publishes no fares and no first or last departure, so we give none. Check these yourself if a bus is your plan.
