The official fixed taxi fares
The airport operator, Aeroporti di Puglia, publishes fixed fares for taxis to and from Bari Airport, all surcharges included:
- 20 EUR: Palese, San Paolo, Santo Spirito, Enziteto, Catino, Stanic, S. Girolamo, Marconi, Fesca
- 25 EUR: Murat, Borgo Antico, Liberta
- 25 EUR: Porto, Stazione Centrale FS (the central railway station), Stadio S. Nicola
- 28 EUR: Madonnella, Picone, Poggiofranco, Carrassi, San Pasquale, Mungivacca
- 30 EUR: Carbonara, Ceglie, Japigia
- 35 EUR: Loseto, S. Anna, S. Giorgio
- 40 EUR: Torre a Mare
These are the fixed fares the airport operator, Aeroporti di Puglia, publishes for a taxi to or from Bari Airport, with all surcharges included. The page shows no tariff date, so confirm the fare with the driver before you set off. The page lists two taxi companies; this guide does not name them.
What the table does not cover
The list covers named areas of Bari and the nearby districts. If your accommodation is not in one of them, the page gives no fixed fare, so ask the driver how the fare is worked out before you set off. Our route database estimates about 10 km and 15 minutes to Bari City Center, an estimate and not a live figure.
Pre-booked private transfer
A pre-booked transfer is arranged before you fly, and the price is confirmed at booking. Use the quote tool on this page for your exact route and vehicle. Check your booking confirmation for the meeting point and for how flight delays are handled. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated there.
How to choose
Choose a taxi if: you want to leave straight away and your area is on the list, so the fare is known before you get in.
Choose a pre-booked transfer if: you want the arrangement settled before you fly, you arrive late, you travel with children or many bags, you are a group, or your accommodation is outside the listed areas. Request a child seat at booking and give the child's age and weight, because no official statement on child seats in taxis was found.
The train and buses
The airport also lists a train from the airport station, a shuttle bus to the central railway station and municipal bus line 16. They suit travellers going to a railway or bus stop. The airport page does not show their fares as text, so check with the operators.
