The ride from Bari Airport into the city is short, but it comes at the end of a tiring journey. Our route database estimates about 15 minutes and 10 km to Bari City Center. This is an estimate, not a live figure.
At the airport
The operator's transport pages give no family-specific information such as baby rooms, strollers or play areas, so none are described here. We found no official statement on luggage trolleys or assistance on these pages either.
Getting to your accommodation with children
Train: The railway has a station at the airport. Tickets are one-way, and your ticket opens the turnstiles that give access to the terminal, so plan how you will pass through with a stroller and bags. Check with the railway for timetables, fares and assistance.
Shuttle bus and line 16: The shuttle to the central railway station takes 25 or 30 minutes according to the airport. Municipal bus line 16 also links the central station and the arrivals terminal.
Taxi: The airport publishes official fixed fares by area, all surcharges included, such as 25 EUR to the central railway station. The page shows no tariff date, so confirm the fare with the driver.
Pre-booked transfer: the vehicle goes to your door. Tell your provider the number of passengers and bags so the vehicle is large enough. Check your booking confirmation for the meeting point.
Child seats
No official statement on child seat rules or availability in taxis was found. If you need a seat, request it when you book a transfer and give the child's age and weight, then confirm it in your booking confirmation. Do not assume a taxi will have one.
Practical points
Carry water, snacks and any medicine in your hand luggage. Keep passports and your accommodation address within reach. If one adult can stay with the bags while the other finds the driver, arrivals go more smoothly.
