How each option is priced
Airport shuttle: tickets are sold on board, and the operator is the Communaute de Communes du Sud-Corse. The airport pages we checked do not give a fare, so check the operator's website.
Taxi: the airport does not publish a tariff. Ask the driver for an estimate before you set off, and ask what the fare covers for luggage or extra stops. Longer distances are the hardest to judge without a figure.
Pre-booked transfer: a fixed price quoted at booking and shown as the live From price on this page. Ask what the price covers before you pay.
Onward buses: the airport page lists lines from the Porto-Vecchio bus station to Bonifacio, Bastia and Ajaccio. Fares are set by the operators; check them before you travel.
What can change the total
Luggage, extra stops, waiting time and the time of day can change what a taxi quotes. A fixed price removes that uncertainty for the ride you booked.
Comparing fairly
Add up the whole journey. A shuttle to Porto-Vecchio may look inexpensive, but you may still need another leg to your accommodation. If you travel as a group, divide one vehicle's cost by the number of passengers.
Before you decide
Check current operator fares, agree an estimate with any taxi driver before leaving, and keep the price confirmation from any booking. If your plans change, for example a delayed flight or an extra passenger, tell the provider early so the arrangement and the price still match your trip. For a group, ask whether the quoted price is per vehicle and how many passengers and bags it covers, so that you compare like with like. Keep your accommodation address ready in writing.
