How much does it cost to get from Ibiza Airport to your destination

Last updated: April 2026

Ibiza Airport is close to most of the island's main areas, so fares are generally reasonable. Here is what each option actually costs.

Price breakdown by transport type

Bus (AERO3)

  • Airport to Ibiza Town: EUR 3.50 by card or QR, EUR 4.90 cash
  • Frequency: Every 30 minutes in high season (daytime only)
  • Last service: Approximately midnight in summer; earlier in shoulder season
  • Other AERO lines: AERO5 to Platja d'en Bossa and Figueretes (EUR 3.50 card/QR, EUR 4.90 cash); AERO1 to Sant Antoni and AERO4 to Santa Eularia, Es Canar and Cala Nova (EUR 4.00 card/QR, EUR 5.60 cash), both available since 1 April 2026.

Metered taxi

Ibiza runs on a metered tariff, not a zoned fare system. There are no published airport zone rates in Ibiza - the fare is whatever the meter reads on the official tariff (EUR 4.00 to start, EUR 1.21/km by day or EUR 1.47/km at night, plus a EUR 2.00 airport supplement). Worked out on that tariff, before waiting time:
  • Airport to Ibiza Town (7 km): about EUR 14-15 by day, EUR 16 at night
  • Airport to Playa d'en Bossa (3 km): the shortest run on the island
  • Airport to Figueretes: a little further than Platja d'en Bossa
  • Airport to San Antonio (15 km): about EUR 24 by day, EUR 28 at night
  • Airport to Santa Eulalia (20 km): about EUR 30 by day, EUR 35 at night
  • Airport to Cala Llonga (18 km): about EUR 28 by day
  • Airport to Portinatx (north): the longest run on the island; the meter decides

The night and holiday tariff (EUR 1.47/km instead of EUR 1.21) applies from 21:00 to 07:00 on weekdays, from 15:00 on Saturdays, and all day on public holidays. Waiting time is charged on top at EUR 21.70 an hour by day, EUR 26.57 at night.

Pre-booked private transfer

  • Sedan to Ibiza Town or Playa d'en Bossa: EUR 20-30
  • Sedan to San Antonio: EUR 28-38
  • Sedan to Santa Eulalia: EUR 32-45
  • Minivan (up to 7) to Ibiza Town: EUR 35-50
  • Minivan to San Antonio or Santa Eulalia: EUR 45-65

Prices are fixed at booking. No surprises for night supplements.

What drives the cost

Distance is the primary factor, but Ibiza is small. The furthest common destination (Santa Eulalia) is only 20 km away.

Time of day adds meaningfully in Ibiza. The night tariff starts at 21:00 on weekdays (and from 15:00 on Saturdays), Sunday rates, and bank holiday rates are all applied and are clearly marked on the rate card displayed in taxis. These supplements can add 20-30% to the base fare.

Season demand does not change the metered fare but does affect availability. In peak summer, taxis are in very short supply at night, which can push people toward pre-booked transfers at any price.

Group size changes the per-person economics quickly. Four people splitting a EUR 28 night-tariff taxi to San Antonio pay EUR 7 each — less than a bus fare each if that bus existed.

The value perspective

The AERO3 bus at EUR 3.50 is an exceptional deal for solo travellers going to Ibiza Town in the daytime. Outside that specific use case, it does not help.

Taxis are well-priced given the short distances. A metered taxi to Ibiza Town is not expensive in an absolute sense.

Private transfers are not significantly more expensive than taxis for the main routes, and they eliminate the queue and availability uncertainty. For peak summer arrivals, the premium is often worth it.
