TSF - Treviso

How Much Does It Cost to Get from Treviso Airport to Venice and Treviso

Treviso Airport serves two very different groups of travelers: those actually visiting Treviso and those using it as a budget gateway to Venice. The costs vary significantly depending on which group you fall into.

To Treviso City Center (3 km)

The cheapest option is local bus line 6, which costs about 2-3 EUR and takes 15 minutes to Treviso train station. A taxi from the rank outside the terminal runs 15-25 EUR for the short ride into the center. A pre-booked transfer for this distance costs 25-40 EUR, which only makes sense if you have heavy luggage or specific accessibility needs.

To Venice Piazzale Roma (40 km)

The ATVO coach is the best value at 12-14 EUR one way (22-24 EUR return). The journey takes about 70 minutes. This drops you at Piazzale Roma, the bus terminal at Venice's western edge. From there, a vaporetto (water bus) single ride costs 9.50 EUR, or you can buy a 24-hour pass for about 25 EUR.

A taxi from TSF to Piazzale Roma costs 70-100 EUR. This is the total for the car, not per person, so splitting among three or four travelers brings the per-person cost close to the bus fare.

A pre-booked private transfer to Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto typically costs 60-110 EUR depending on vehicle size.

To Venice Mestre (30 km)

If your hotel is on the mainland in Mestre, a taxi costs approximately 40-60 EUR. A pre-booked transfer runs 45-75 EUR. The ATVO bus passes through Mestre on its way to Venice, and you can request to stop there.

To Padua (60 km)

There is no direct bus from TSF to Padua. A taxi or pre-booked transfer costs 80-120 EUR. The alternative is bus to Treviso station, then train to Padova (about 1 hour, around 5-8 EUR for the train).

To Cortina d'Ampezzo and the Dolomites

Some travelers use TSF as a gateway to the Dolomites. Cortina is about 150 km away. A pre-booked transfer runs 180-280 EUR. There are seasonal ATVO bus services to Cortina, but they do not run year-round.

Hidden Costs to Consider

The ticket price to Venice is only half the story. Once at Piazzale Roma, you still need water transport to most Venice hotels. A water taxi from Piazzale Roma to a central Venice hotel costs 70-120 EUR. The vaporetto is cheaper but slower and involves dragging luggage through crowds. Factor in this second leg when budgeting your total transfer cost from Treviso Airport to your Venice accommodation.
