Treviso Airport to City and Venice: What You Actually Need to Know

Treviso Airport (TSF), also known as Canova Airport, is a small budget-airline hub about 3 km from Treviso city center and roughly 40 km from Venice. If you are heading to Treviso itself, the transfer is quick and cheap. If Venice is your destination, you have bus, train, and private transfer options, but none of them are instant. Plan for 60-90 minutes to reach central Venice depending on your mode of transport.

TSF is a compact, single-terminal airport that handles mostly Ryanair and Wizz Air flights. After landing, you walk across the tarmac or through a short jet bridge. Baggage claim is a small area with one or two belts. The whole process from plane to exit rarely takes more than 20 minutes unless there is a passport control queue for non-Schengen arrivals.

Once outside, you will find a bus stop, a small taxi rank, and a parking area. There is no train station at the airport. Inside the terminal, facilities are basic: a couple of cafes, ATMs, and a tourist information desk that keeps irregular hours. The airport has free Wi-Fi.

Airport coach/shuttle to Venice: Coach and shuttle operators (including Flibco, which runs directly to Venice Mestre station and Tronchetto) connect TSF with Venice, timed to match flight arrivals. Flibco's own site lists a one-way fare from around 10 EUR when booked online, with the ride taking roughly 30-40 minutes depending on the drop-off point; other operators on this route may price differently, so check the fare at booking. Buses fill up and the next departure might be an hour away, so build in slack.

Local Bus to Treviso: Mobilità di Marca (MOM) runs a local bus connecting the airport to Treviso train station in about 15 minutes. Check the current fare with MOM before you travel; we could not confirm today's exact price from an authoritative source.

Taxi: Italian taxis run on a metered or municipally-set tariff. We could not confirm Treviso's current official taxi tariff (or a fixed airport-to-Venice fare, if one exists) from an authoritative source, so agree the price with the driver before you get in, or ask for the meter, rather than relying on a number here. As a rule of thumb, Venice Piazzale Roma is a long-distance run (about 40 km) and will cost noticeably more than the short 3 km hop into Treviso center.

TSF receives several late-evening Ryanair flights. The last ATVO bus to Venice is timed to the last flight, but if your flight is delayed, the bus will not wait forever. Local buses to Treviso stop running by late evening.

Taxis are available but the rank can be empty if multiple flights land simultaneously. After 10 PM, a pre-booked transfer is the safest bet, especially if you are heading to Venice. Being stranded at a small airport outside Treviso at midnight with no reliable transport is not a pleasant experience.

The ATVO bus to Venice has limited luggage space in the hold. If you have multiple large suitcases plus strollers, it gets uncomfortable. The bus also does not have space for car seats.
