Toulouse-Blagnac receives flights until late evening, with connections from Paris, London, and other European hubs sometimes landing close to midnight. Here is what your transfer options look like when you arrive late.
Tram availability at night
Tram Line T2 runs its last service from the airport around 00:15. If your flight lands before midnight and you clear baggage claim quickly, you might catch it. But flights that land at 23:30 or later leave very little margin, especially if there is a delay at passport control or baggage claim. Do not count on the tram for anything arriving after 23:00 unless you are willing to gamble on timing.
There is no night bus service replacing the tram on the airport route.
Taxi availability
Taxis are generally available at Blagnac for late-arriving flights. Drivers know the schedule and tend to be present for the last wave of arrivals. However, on busy nights (Fridays, holiday weekends, major events in Toulouse), the queue can be longer than usual and available cars fewer.
After midnight, the supply of taxis at the airport drops noticeably. If your flight is significantly delayed and you land at 1 or 2 AM, finding a taxi at the rank is not guaranteed. You can call a Toulouse taxi company, but wait times vary.
Uber and Bolt at night
Both apps work late at night in Toulouse, but driver availability decreases after midnight. Wait times of 10 to 20 minutes are common in the early hours. Surge pricing may apply, making the fare 30 to 50 percent higher than daytime rates.
Pre-booked transfers
This is where pre-booking earns its keep. A private transfer driver monitors your flight and adjusts to the actual landing time. Whether your 22:00 flight lands on time or gets pushed to 01:30, the driver is there. You walk out, find your name, and leave.
The price does not change for late-night arrivals with most transfer services, unlike taxis with evening surcharges or ride-hailing apps with surge pricing.
The late-night drive
Toulouse traffic is a daytime problem. After 22:00, the Peripherique ring road clears out and the drive from the airport to the city center takes 15 to 20 minutes. Even hotels in the southern part of the city, which can take 40 minutes during rush hour, are reachable in under 25 minutes at night.
What to plan ahead
If your flight is scheduled after 22:00, book a transfer or at minimum save a local taxi company number in your phone. Let your hotel know your arrival time, especially for small hotels and guesthouses that may not have 24-hour reception. If you are staying in an Airbnb, confirm the key handoff procedure for late arrivals. Some hosts leave lockbox codes, others need to meet you in person.
Toulouse is a safe city at night, and the airport area is well-lit and monitored. The only real concern with late arrivals is transport availability, not personal safety.
