How Much Does a Transfer from Toulouse Airport to the City Cost?

Toulouse-Blagnac Airport is 8 km from the city center, and the range of transport options means there is a price point for every budget. Here is what each option actually costs in 2026.

The cheapest option: Tram Line T2

A single tram ticket costs around 1.80 EUR. You can buy it from the machine at the tram stop outside the terminal. The tram runs every 15 minutes and reaches the city center (Palais de Justice, Compans-Caffarelli) in about 30 minutes. If you are traveling alone or as a couple with light luggage, this is the obvious budget choice.

A 10-trip pass costs around 15 EUR and works across all Tisséo public transport, useful if you plan to use trams and buses during your stay in Toulouse.

Taxi pricing

Toulouse has regulated taxi fares from the airport. The flat rate to the city center (Capitole area) is approximately 25 to 30 EUR during the day. Evening and weekend surcharges can push it to 35 to 40 EUR. The fare is per vehicle, so for 2-3 travelers it works out to a reasonable per-person cost.

Taxis queue outside arrivals. The wait is usually under 10 minutes, though Friday evenings and holiday periods can see longer lines.

Uber and Bolt

Both apps work at Toulouse Airport. Pricing fluctuates with demand, but typical fares to the city center run 20 to 35 EUR. During off-peak hours, ride-hailing can be slightly cheaper than a taxi. During surge periods, it flips. The pickup area is signposted outside the terminal.

Pre-booked private transfer

A sedan transfer to central Toulouse costs 30 to 50 EUR. A minivan (suitable for groups or extra luggage) runs 50 to 75 EUR. The price is fixed at booking and does not change with traffic or time of day.

Beyond the city center

If your destination is outside central Toulouse, costs increase accordingly. Carcassonne (100 km south) runs 140 to 180 EUR by private transfer. Albi (75 km northeast) is around 110 to 150 EUR. Lourdes (190 km southwest) costs 200 to 260 EUR.

For these longer routes, a rental car may be more economical if you plan to explore the area. But for a one-way trip, a transfer avoids the hassle of returning the car.

The value comparison

For a solo traveler going to the city center, the tram at 1.80 EUR is unbeatable. For two people with luggage, a taxi at 30 EUR (15 EUR each) is reasonable and saves the hassle of managing bags on the tram. For families or groups of 3-4, a private transfer sedan at 35-45 EUR (under 12 EUR each) offers the best balance of comfort and value. The tram is cheap but increasingly impractical as your group size and luggage count grows.
