Lima Jorge Chavez Airport to City Centre – What You Actually Need to Know

Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) sits about 12 km from Miraflores, Lima's main tourist district. There is no rail link. Your realistic options are a pre-booked transfer, an official airport taxi, or a rideshare app like Uber or InDriver.

A pre-booked private transfer to Miraflores costs around PEN 60–90 (~EUR 15–22). Official airport taxis run PEN 70–100 (~EUR 17–24). Uber typically shows PEN 30–55 (~EUR 7–13) but surge pricing and pickup logistics can complicate things.

The drive takes 30–50 minutes depending on Lima's notorious traffic. During rush hours (7–9 AM and 5–8 PM), expect the upper end or longer.

After clearing immigration and collecting your bags, you walk through the arrivals hall. You will immediately encounter taxi touts offering rides. Most are not official and prices vary wildly.
