Terminal taxi
Drivers approach you outside arrivals or wait by their cars in the parking lot. You negotiate a price verbally.
Advantages: Immediately available, no app or data needed.
Disadvantages: Significantly overpriced for tourists (often 2-3x the app rate), no receipt, vehicle quality varies, some drivers take longer routes. This is the option most travellers regret using once they discover the apps.
Pre-booked private transfer
A driver meets you inside the arrivals hall with your name on a sign. The vehicle and fare are confirmed before you fly.
Advantages: No waiting, no negotiation, driver meets you inside (not in the parking lot), child seat available on request, fixed price, works perfectly for late-night arrivals, professional drivers.
Disadvantages: Most expensive option ($15-30 for a sedan), requires advance booking.
