CDG to Paris is one of the most-traveled airport routes in Europe. Here's every option, with the fares that are actually published — and an honest note about the ones that aren't.
RER B train — cheapest rail option
- Price: €14 with the Paris Région <> Aéroports ticket (€7 for children 4-9), the single fare that covers CDG since 1 January 2026 (Île-de-France Mobilités). It is not a paper ticket — load it onto a Navigo Easy card, the Île-de-France Mobilités app, or Apple Wallet. It is valid for two hours across zones 1-5, so your onward metro or RER connection in Paris is included, and it also covers the CDG↔Orly journey.
- Journey: 35-50 minutes to Chatelet-Les Halles
- Runs: Every 10-20 minutes, 5 AM to midnight
- Stops in Paris: Gare du Nord (25 min), Chatelet-Les Halles (35 min), Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame (38 min), Denfert-Rochereau (50 min)
The RER B is the backbone of CDG transport. It's efficient but has drawbacks: crowded during rush hour, pickpocket risk, and no luggage racks in standard cars. Buy the ticket in the Île-de-France Mobilités app, on Apple Wallet, or load it onto a Navigo Easy card at the station — there is no paper version any more.
Two buses that no longer exist
If you have read elsewhere that you can take the Roissybus to Opéra or Le Bus Direct to Étoile or Montparnasse, both of those pages are out of date:
- Roissybus ran its last service on 28 February 2026 and was withdrawn by Île-de-France Mobilités. There is no direct replacement to Opéra.
- Le Bus Direct (formerly Cars Air France) was closed permanently by Groupe ADP in August 2020.
This matters because both are still widely listed. Plan on the RER B, a taxi, or a pre-booked car.

Other destinations
Set by the arrêté of 24 December 2025 and applicable through 2026, these are all-inclusive: any time of day, any day of the week, up to four passengers, all luggage. The tariff is reviewed annually, so check the current figure before you travel.
The Right/Left Bank distinction simply follows the Seine. Most tourist areas are Right Bank (Marais, Champs-Élysées, Montmartre, Bastille). Left Bank includes Saint-Germain, the Latin Quarter and the Eiffel Tower area.
The forfait applies only within Paris. Anywhere outside the city — La Défense, Versailles, Disneyland, Orly — reverts to the meter.
Uber
Uber prices dynamically, and the app quotes your exact trip before you accept. That live quote is the only honest number, so check it in the app rather than trusting a table on any website — including this one. What is worth knowing is the pattern: UberX off-peak can undercut the €56 taxi forfait, while surge during rush hour (7-10 AM, 5-8 PM), rain, or a transport strike can push it well above. Paris strikes are frequent and send every car price up at once. Comfort, Green, Van and Black cost progressively more.
Because the taxi forfait never surges, the sensible move is to check Uber first and treat €56 as your ceiling: if Uber is under it, take Uber; if not, join the taxi queue.

Priced per vehicle and confirmed at booking, so the figure is locked before you fly — no surge, and traffic costs you nothing extra. Sedans take about 3 passengers and 2 bags; a minivan takes 6-7 with luggage; premium vehicles cost more. Get the quote for your vehicle and destination at booking.

Disneyland Paris
CDG to Disneyland is about 40 km, and the taxi forfait does not apply — it is outside Paris, so the meter runs. A pre-booked transfer is the way to fix the price in advance. There are also coach and TGV options into Marne-la-Vallée; check current fares with the operators, as TGV pricing is yield-managed and moves constantly.
Connecting to Orly Airport
CDG to Orly is 70-80 km. The useful thing here is that the €14 Paris Région <> Aéroports ticket covers the airport-to-airport journey by rail (RER B + Orlyval), which is far cheaper than any car — though it takes 90+ minutes and is a miserable trip with luggage. A taxi between the two airports is metered (no forfait applies), and a transfer is fixed at booking.
