The upside: no traffic
The single biggest advantage of arriving at BLR late at night is the absence of traffic. The same journey that takes 90–120 minutes during rush hour can be done in 40–50 minutes after 11 PM. The expressway is clear, the city roads are empty, and the ride is smooth. For the 40 km distance to central Bangalore, this makes a dramatic difference.

BLR airport and the expressway to the city are well-lit and patrolled. The airport area is considered safe. The expressway is a controlled-access road with no stops. What if I land at 2–3 AM?
