Arriving late at Vilnius Airport: your options at night

Thanks to Ryanair and Wizzair scheduling, late arrivals at Vilnius are common. Flights landing at 11 PM or even midnight happen regularly. Here's how to handle it.

Taxis — at the rank

Taxis wait for late flights. If there's a Ryanair or Wizzair arrival at 11:30 PM, cabs will be at the rank. After midnight with no flights, the rank empties. Ask for the meter — some operators apply a night surcharge, so confirm the rate before you set off.

Pre-booked transfer — guaranteed

A transfer guarantees your driver is there; get a quote from the operator in advance. The driver monitors your flight. Useful if you're arriving at an odd hour or want zero uncertainty.

Train — not running

The last train departs around 9-10 PM. Not an option for late arrivals.

Bus — very limited

Night buses exist in Vilnius but service to the airport is minimal after 11 PM. Don't count on it.

Late-night safety
