We looked for official fares for transport from AlUla Airport and could not find any published fixed taxi fares or ride-share fares. This page therefore lists what we could confirm and how to avoid surprises, rather than quoting numbers we cannot source.
What the destination authority says
The Royal Commission for AlUla lists airport taxis as a limited number available on a first-come, first-served basis, car rental desks at the airport, and a ride-share app for getting around the destination. It does not list fares on the page we checked.

Airport taxi: no official fixed fare found. Agree the fare with the driver before you get in, and ask whether you can pay by card or only in cash.
Ride-share: the fare is shown in the app before you confirm, when the service operates for your pick-up. We could not confirm airport pick-ups.
Car hire: the price depends on the company, the vehicle and whether a driver is included. Check the rental terms, the insurance and the licence requirements: international drivers must carry a valid licence from their country of residence, and the companies listed by the Royal Commission require an international driving permit.

What affects the price
Destination: our route database lists AlUla Town at about 24 km, the Ashar Valley resort area at about 21 km and the Hegra area at about 38 km from the airport (approximate estimates). A longer drive usually costs more, so ask for the fare to your exact address.
Waiting time and demand: with limited taxis, a free car may take time to appear after a busy arrival.
Vehicle type: a larger vehicle may be needed for groups or heavy luggage.
How to avoid surprises
Before you start any journey, confirm three things: the total price for the whole vehicle, the currency it is quoted in, and the payment method. If a price is given verbally, repeat it back to the driver. For a pre-booked transfer, check that your confirmation states what is included, and keep it on your phone. If a driver asks for more than the agreed amount, call the number on your confirmation rather than arguing at the curb.
Currency and cash
The airport currency exchange counter is listed as open daily from 08:00 to 17:00. Check the current exchange rate before you travel, and ask your driver or rental desk which payment methods they accept.
