The airport states that passengers needing special assistance have the right to priority service. It lists pregnant and breastfeeding passengers, passengers travelling with an infant and older passengers among them. Ask airline or airport staff how to arrange it. For baby-changing rooms and other family facilities, ask airport staff; none are described on the official pages we checked.
Getting to the accommodation with children
The airport is about 30 km from the centre of Natal, and beach destinations are further: our route estimates give about 27 km to Genipabu, about 59 km to Maracajaú and about 94.5 km to Pipa. Plan food and water for children on longer trips.
Bus line R: it runs between the São Gonçalo do Amarante terminal and Natal, via the airport. With strollers and bags, check the timetable and how to reach your accommodation from the stop.
Taxi: goes to your address. Taxi services are in the arrival and departure halls, and an accredited service in the arrivals hall is listed as available 24 hours. The airport does not publish a fare table, so agree how it is calculated, and the total, before you set off.
Pre-booked transfer: request a child seat when booking and give your child's age and weight. A larger vehicle can be requested for strollers and bags. Check your booking confirmation for the meeting point.
Child seat rules
No official statement on child-seat rules for taxis in Brazil was found. Ask your transfer provider what is arranged, and do not assume a taxi has a seat.
Practical tips
Free, unlimited Wi-Fi is listed by the airport, which helps if you need to message your driver. Have your accommodation address saved on your phone.
