Vnukovo Airport: Public Transport, Taxi or Transfer

Vnukovo is unusual because the operator publishes detailed timetables for public transport, but no taxi tariff.

Public transport

The metro station "Vnukovo Airport" opened in September 2023 on the Solntsevskaya line, with an underground passage to Terminal A. The express train from Kievskiy Railway Station takes about 35-40 minutes, once an hour, and its fare follows the suburban rail operator's tariff (the page gives no figure). Buses 911, 911k, 272 and 579 serve the airport, and the N11 runs at night. The operator's pages give no ticket prices, so we give none.

Taxis

The operator says a taxi is available at any time from anywhere in Moscow and the region. The fare depends on the service, the distance, the time of day and demand, and there is no official tariff. Agree the price before you set off, and do not assume it will match another day.

The pre-booked private transfer

The price is confirmed when you book, and the driver goes to the address you give. Because stopping in front of the terminal or on the viaduct is prohibited (automatic cameras, fines, towing), the meeting point is given in your booking confirmation. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated there. The live price to Moscow City Center is from EUR 103. For other places, use the quote tool on this page. Our route database estimates about 29 km and 44 minutes by road to central Moscow.

How to choose

Choose the metro, train or bus if: your stop is on the route, you travel light, and you are happy to follow a timetable.

Choose a taxi if: you want to go straight to an address and are happy to agree the fare on the day.

Choose a private transfer if: you want the price and the driver confirmed before you fly, you land very late, or you travel as a group or with children.
