Natal airport has an intermunicipal bus line, taxi stands in both halls, a covered pick-up point for ride-hailing apps, and many visitors also pre-book a private transfer. Which one fits depends on where you are going and what you carry.
When the bus makes sense
Line R runs between the São Gonçalo do Amarante terminal and Natal, via the airport. It may suit solo travellers with light luggage and a destination on its route. Check the timetable and fare with the operator, since the airport page does not give them.
When a taxi is the right call
Taxi services are in the arrival and departure halls, and an accredited service in the arrivals hall is listed as available 24 hours. A taxi goes to your address. The airport does not publish a fare table, so agree how the fare is calculated, and the total, before you set off.
When a ride-hailing app works
The airport lists a pick-up point in front of the terminal exit, in the covered area. Availability can vary, so keep a second plan.
When a pre-booked transfer makes sense
Groups: a larger vehicle can be arranged in advance for everyone together.
Beach destinations: Pipa, Maracajaú, São Miguel do Gostoso and others are roughly 59 to 152 km away by our route estimates. A transfer goes to the door.
Children: request a child seat when you book and give the child's age and weight.
Late arrivals: the arrangement is confirmed before you fly. Check the booking confirmation for how delays are handled.
Price: it is confirmed when you book, so you know the amount before you travel.
Meeting your driver
If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated in the booking confirmation. If not, the confirmation says where to meet.
The bottom line
For a simple ride into Natal with light luggage, the bus or a taxi works. For groups, children, long beach routes or a late arrival, a pre-booked transfer saves uncertainty.
