Official taxis
KAA permits licensed and insured taxi and transfer companies, which wait at designated taxi stands. Several have a desk in the domestic and international arrivals halls. Some licensed taxis are yellow, but not all of them. The operator publishes no taxi tariff, so we give no price. Its stated principle is that the fare is per vehicle, not per person. Agree the fare before you set off, and ask for a receipt.

Ride-hailing apps
The operator states that ride-hailing apps serve the main airports. It does not describe pick-up points for Moi International, so check the app before you rely on it.
Pre-booked private transfer
A pre-booked transfer is arranged before you fly, and the price is confirmed at booking. For comparison, our live price to Mombasa City Center is from EUR 24. The live price to Nyali Beach is from EUR 24. Use the quote tool on this page for other destinations, because the price depends on the route and the vehicle. The driver waits outside the arrivals hall, as the operator requires of pre-arranged drivers. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated there.
How to choose
Choose an official taxi if: you will agree the fare per vehicle before leaving and ask for a receipt.
Choose a pre-booked transfer if: you want the price settled before you fly, you arrive late, you travel with children or many bags, or you are a group. Request a child seat at booking, because no official statement on child seats was found.
Offers inside the terminal
Decline them. The operator says that soliciting customers inside the terminal is illegal and that such drivers are generally unlicensed and uninsured.
