George Airport: Taxi or Pre-booked Transfer

Both options take you from the airport to your accommodation. The difference is how much you know before you travel.

Taxis and shuttles

The official ACSA page lists four taxi and shuttle companies, one of them with a 24/7 contact line. It publishes no official tariff and no fares, so we give no price and do not name the companies. The page gives no stand location and no distance to the city. Contact the company you choose before you travel, and agree how the fare will be set, whether it is per vehicle or per person and what it includes.

Pre-booked private transfer

A pre-booked transfer is arranged before you fly, and the price is confirmed at booking. For comparison, our live price to Knysna is from EUR 909. The live price to Mossel Bay is from EUR 691. Use the quote tool on this page for other destinations, because the price depends on the route and the vehicle. Check your booking confirmation for the meeting point and for how flight delays are handled. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated there.

How to choose

Choose a listed taxi or shuttle if: you have arranged it in advance and agreed the fare and what it covers.

Choose a pre-booked transfer if: you want the price settled before you fly, you arrive late, you travel with children or many bags, or you are a group. Request a child seat at booking and give the child's age and weight, because no official statement on child seats was found.

No public transport

The official page lists no public bus or train, so there is no public alternative to compare with.
