Late arrivals at Ciampino need a plan, because the airport's page publishes little about night services.
What the airport publishes
The airport page lists official taxis at the exit of the Arrivals area, the Trenitalia Ciampino Airlink and several coach services. It says the Airlink bus runs about every 20 minutes to Ciampino station, but it gives no operating hours. It gives no taxi hours either.

What the live coach listing showed
The coach departure listing on the airport page, seen on 27 and 28 October 2026, showed no departures after 23:30. For Roma Termini, the Ciampino Airlink's first listed departure was 05:55 and its last 23:30, while the other listed coach services to Roma Termini showed a first departure at 05:00 and a last at 22:30. This is a snapshot of one listing on two days, not a published timetable, so check the operator's website for your date. If your flight lands after about 22:00, you cannot count on a coach.
What is not published
We did not find official night timetables for the train leg of the Airlink, so this guide does not say when the last train leaves Ciampino station for Roma Termini. Check Trenitalia. We also found no statement on how many taxis wait at night, so do not assume one will be waiting after a late landing.
Taxis at night
Use the official taxis from the Taxi Arrivals area: they are white, with a TAXI sign on the roof and the licence number on the doors. The operator warns that any other vehicle waiting in front of the exit may be driven by unlicensed people, which matters most when it is dark and you are tired. Fixed fares are 40 EUR to Mura Aureliane, Stazione Ostiense and Stazione Tiburtina and 55 EUR to Fiumicino Airport, with a 25.00 EUR minimum for arrivals without a fixed fare. The municipality sets the fares and they may change without notice.
Pre-booked transfers
A pre-booked transfer is arranged before you fly. Give your flight number and address at booking, and check your booking confirmation for where to meet and how delays are handled. At night, choose the arrangement you confirmed in advance over one you hope will be available. Keep your phone charged and your address saved, and write down the details of the driver you have booked.
