This page gives the figures that are published and says plainly where none exist.
Official taxi fares
The airport page publishes fixed fares per ride, all surcharges included:
Fixed-price private transfer
CIA Rome (City & Metro)
From€150for 2 passengers
Other destinations
- 40 EUR: Mura Aureliane
- 40 EUR: Stazione Ostiense
- 40 EUR: Stazione Tiburtina
- 55 EUR: Fiumicino Airport
- Minimum fare of 25.00 EUR for arrivals without a fixed fare, to or from Ciampino
The page states that all fares are set by the municipality and may change without notice, and it shows no tariff date. Confirm the fare with the driver before you set off. We did not find a fixed fare for Roma Termini, so ask how the fare to your destination is worked out.
Ciampino Airlink and coaches
The Ciampino Airlink is a combined bus and train service run by Trenitalia. The airport page gives no fares for it or for the coach services and refers you to the operators' websites, so we give none. Check Trenitalia and the coach operators for current fares and timetables.
Pre-booked private transfer
Price depends on the destination and the vehicle, so use the quote tool on this page rather than guessing. It is confirmed when you book. We have no official distance or journey time figures for the city centre, so none are given here.
What to add up
Compare the total for your whole group and your luggage, and the time, not only the fare for one person. A taxi fare is per ride, not per passenger, so it can be good value for a group. If you pay in a foreign currency, exchange rates and card fees apply, so ask your bank before you travel.
The bottom line
Agree how the fare works before you get in, and take only a licensed taxi from the marked area. A pre-booked transfer has its price confirmed in advance. Keep your booking confirmation or the agreed price on your phone.
