Some stay near the Pitons in Soufriere, about 45-60 minutes away. This is one of those airports where the transfer is a significant part of your travel day, and planning it properly matters. UVF handles most international flights to Saint Lucia, including long-haul routes from the US, UK, and Canada. The terminal is modest in size. Immigration queues can be slow when multiple flights arrive simultaneously — budget 30-60 minutes during peak times. Baggage claim is a single carousel area.

After clearing customs, you exit into the arrivals hall where hotel representatives, taxi drivers, and tour operators wait with signs. The atmosphere can be busy and slightly chaotic when flights land close together. Outside, the Caribbean heat and humidity are immediate.
