Family facilities at ICN
Both terminals have nursing rooms, children's play zones, baby care rooms with cribs, and family restrooms with changing tables. Terminal 1 has a small indoor playground near Gate 30. Terminal 2 has a larger play area on the 4th floor.
Free luggage carts are available throughout. Stroller rental is offered at the information desks. These are small but helpful if yours is checked.

Car seat situation in South Korea
Korean law requires car seats for children under 6 years old. However, taxis are exempt from this law, meaning drivers are not required to provide or use them. Most taxi drivers will not have car seats available.
If car seat safety is important to you, a private transfer is the only reliable option. Request the car seat type (infant, convertible, booster) when booking and specify your child's age and weight.
Practical family tips
- AREX Express works well for families with older children and manageable luggage. Trains are clean and spacious. But navigating Seoul Station with a stroller and bags is challenging.
- Airport limousine buses are a solid middle ground. Luggage goes in the hold, kids get comfortable seats, and many routes stop at major hotel areas. Buy tickets at the booth outside arrivals.
- Private van transfers are the stress-free option. The driver loads everything, you have space for car seats, strollers, and bags, and you go directly to your hotel.
- Pack snacks. The ride to central Seoul takes 60-80 minutes by road. Kids get restless.
- Allow 40-50 minutes from landing to ground transport with kids, even with efficient immigration.
