Arriving late at Eindhoven Airport: your options

Last updated: March 2026

Eindhoven Airport has a noise curfew, so most flights land before 11 PM. But delays happen, especially with budget carriers. Here's what's available when you arrive late.

Transport availability at night

| Transport | Last service | Resumes | |---|---|---| | Bus 401 to Eindhoven Station | ~23:30 | ~06:00 | | Taxis | Available for evening flights | Rank may empty late | | Pre-booked transfers | 24/7 | Always available | | Uber/Bolt | Available but limited late | Longer wait times |

The curfew factor

Eindhoven Airport officially closes at 23:00 for departures and arrivals are limited after that. In practice, delayed flights can land until about midnight. The airport doesn't have 24-hour operations like Schiphol.

This means late-night arrivals at EIN are the exception, not the norm. When they happen, transport options are limited.

Catching the last bus

Bus 401's last departure is around 23:30. If your flight was scheduled for 22:00 and lands on time, you can catch the bus after collecting your luggage. If it's significantly delayed, you'll miss it.

Taxis at night

Taxis usually wait for the evening's last flights. But once those flights have landed and passengers have gone, the rank empties. If your flight is delayed past the normal schedule, you might not find a taxi waiting.

Use the Uber or Bolt app — even at 11 PM, you should be able to get a ride within 10-15 minutes. Prices might be slightly higher (1.2-1.5x surge during busy periods).

Pre-booked transfer (recommended for late arrivals)

At a small airport with limited late-night transport, a pre-booked transfer is smart insurance:

  • Driver monitors your flight — if delayed, they adjust
  • Guaranteed car regardless of when you land
  • Fixed price: 25-40 EUR to Eindhoven center
  • No fumbling with apps or searching for taxis at a quiet airport
Most transfer companies don't add a night surcharge for EIN evening flights since they're still before midnight.

What if you're stranded?

If you somehow end up at the airport with no transport: 1. Uber/Bolt app — should still work, wait 10-15 minutes 2. Call a taxi company — Eindhoven has several 24/7 taxi dispatchers 3. Hotels near the airport — Holiday Inn Eindhoven Airport is walking distance

Safety

The airport area is safe — it's in a quiet suburban/industrial zone. The terminal closes after the last flight, so don't expect to hang around inside if you're waiting.

Our recommendation

If your evening flight is on time, the bus or taxi rank should work fine. If you know your flight tends to be delayed (Ryanair evening slots from certain airports have a reputation), pre-book a transfer. It costs the same as a taxi but removes all the uncertainty.
