How Much Does It Cost to Get from Confins Airport to Belo Horizonte?

Last updated: March 2026

Tancredo Neves Airport (CNF) is 40 km north of Belo Horizonte. The distance makes transport costs higher than at many Brazilian airports. Here is what each option actually costs.

Price comparison table

| Transport | Cost (BRL) | Cost (EUR) | Notes | |-----------|-----------|-----------|-------| | Pre-booked transfer | 180–280 | 30–47 | Fixed price, door-to-door | | Official taxi | 160–250 | 27–42 | Metered | | 99 / Uber | 120–200 | 20–33 | Surge pricing possible | | Conexao Aeroporto bus | 37 | 6.20 | Executive bus, limited stops | | Conventional bus | 12 | 2 | Basic, to Rodoviaria |

What affects the price

Traffic is the biggest variable. The MG-010 highway connects the airport to the city and gets congested during rush hours (7–9 AM, 5–8 PM). Metered taxis and ride-hailing apps charge based on time and distance, so a trip during rush hour can cost BRL 30–60 more than the same trip at midday.

Destination within BH matters. Savassi and Centro are the standard reference points. Pampulha is closer to the airport and cheaper. Neighborhoods south of the center (Mangabeiras, Belvedere) add to the fare.

Prices to specific destinations

| Destination | Taxi (BRL) | Transfer (BRL) | Transfer (EUR) | |-------------|-----------|---------------|---------------| | Savassi | 170–230 | 180–250 | 30–42 | | Centro / Praca Sete | 160–220 | 180–240 | 30–40 | | Pampulha | 130–180 | 150–200 | 25–33 | | Contagem | 180–250 | 200–280 | 33–47 | | Ouro Preto | 400–550 | 450–600 | 75–100 | | Inhotim (Brumadinho) | 300–420 | 350–480 | 58–80 |

Toll roads

The MG-010 from the airport has a toll of approximately BRL 5.30. This is included in transfer prices. Ride-hailing apps include it in the fare. Taxi meters do not — the driver may add it at the end. Clarify before departure.

Payment methods

Official taxis accept cash and some accept cards (ask first). Ride-hailing apps handle payment in-app via card or cash. The Conexao Aeroporto bus accepts cash and sometimes card at the terminal counter. ATMs in the arrivals hall dispense BRL.

Tipping

Tipping taxi drivers is not standard in Brazil, but rounding up the fare is common. For example, on a BRL 200 fare, paying BRL 210–220 is a nice gesture. Transfer drivers appreciate similar rounding.
