The reality of late nights at a small airport

Brno Airport is not Frankfurt. It doesn't have flights landing every 10 minutes at midnight. When a late charter lands, the airport briefly comes alive and then goes quiet again. This has practical implications:

• Taxi rank may be thin — a few taxis usually show up for incoming flights, but don't count on a big queue of cars at 1 AM
• Bus 76 stops early — after 11 PM, public transport is limited to night buses which aren't well-connected to the airport

Brno Airport and the surrounding area are safe at night. The terminal area is well-lit. The bigger risk isn't safety — it's simply not finding transport because the airport is small and quiet at night. That's why pre-booking makes sense here.

Pre-book a transfer if you know you're landing late. At a major hub, you can always wing it and find a taxi. At a small regional airport like BRQ, it's worth spending 15-25 EUR to guarantee someone is waiting.
