What is open after dark
The arrivals hall operates for all incoming flights. Immigration, customs, and baggage claim function normally regardless of arrival time. The tourism desk may close by 10 PM. ATMs are available around the clock. There is no transit hotel or dedicated rest area in the terminal. The duty-free shop in arrivals closes by late evening.

Safety at night
Barbados is generally safe, and the airport area is well-lit and secure. The drive to the south coast passes through residential areas and is straightforward. The west coast route goes through Bridgetown, which is quiet at night. Standard precautions apply: use licensed taxis from the official rank, not anyone who approaches you inside the terminal.
If you need to stay near the airport
There is no hotel inside the terminal. The closest accommodations are on the south coast, about 10-15 minutes away. Several hotels in the Dover and St Lawrence Gap area are convenient for late arrivals and early departures.
