Safety at night
Barbados is generally safe, and the airport area is well-lit and secure. The drive to the south coast passes through residential areas and is straightforward. The west coast route goes through Bridgetown, which is quiet at night. If you need to stay near the airport
There is no hotel inside the terminal. The closest accommodations are on the south coast, about 10-15 minutes away. Several hotels in the Dover and St Lawrence Gap area are convenient for late arrivals and early departures.
