Quick answer
Asturias Airport (OVD) is run by Aena, and its "Getting there" pages list car, bus and taxi. There is an airport bus to Aviles, Gijon and Oviedo, and a taxi rank, and the taxi fare is an official tariff. The bus runs roughly hourly, every day from about 06:00 until 00:00.
If you land inside those hours, the airport bus is the fixed-timetable option. If you land late, or want to go to a specific address, a taxi or a pre-booked private transfer is the usual alternative. The taxi tariff is set out below, and a pre-booked transfer is confirmed before you fly. Use the quote tool on this page for your destination.

What actually happens after landing
The Aena pages we read do not describe the arrivals procedure, baggage reclaim or waiting times, so we do not describe them.
What they do say is that if your flight is shown on the arrivals board, a bus departure can be delayed by up to 15 minutes. That is helpful if your flight is slightly late, but it is not a guarantee, so do not plan a tight connection around it. Keep your booking confirmation and your accommodation address on your phone.
Transport options explained honestly
Airport bus: The airport bus connects the airport with Aviles, Gijon and Oviedo. The services to Aviles and Gijon also stop at Piedras Blancas and Salinas. It leaves the airport roughly every hour, every day, between about 06:00 and 00:00. If your flight is shown on the arrivals board, a departure can be held for up to 15 minutes. Exact times are on the bus operator's website. We give no ticket price and no journey time, because the Aena page publishes neither.
Taxi: There is a taxi rank at the airport. The fares are an official tariff, described in the next section.
Car: Aena lists car as a way to reach the airport. We give no further car details.
Pre-booked private transfer: The price is confirmed when you book, and the driver goes to the address you give. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated in your booking confirmation. Use the quote tool on this page for your destination.
Realistic pricing expectations
The taxi tariff on the Aena page is authorised by a decree of 13 July 2026 (Decree 50/2026), and it includes taxes. We read it on 2026-10-27, and we cannot guarantee that it is current on your travel date.
Day tariff: EUR 0.71 per km or part of a km, a minimum fare of EUR 4.34, and waiting time at EUR 18.29 per hour. For vehicles with more than 6 usable seats, add EUR 0.11 per km.
Night and holiday tariff: EUR 0.85 per km or part of a km, a minimum fare of EUR 5.21, and waiting time at EUR 21.96 per hour. For vehicles with more than 6 usable seats, add EUR 0.12 per km.
The night tariff applies on weekdays from 22:00 to 07:00, on Saturdays from 15:00, on 24 and 31 December from 15:00, on Sundays for the whole 24 hours from 00:00, and on local, regional and national holidays.
The Aena page adds some conditions. The service is for the whole vehicle. A journey that ends where it started counts as a closed circuit. The charges shown are maximums that can be lowered by mutual agreement, but the minimum charges are mandatory. For a complaint, ask for the complaints book in the vehicle.
The Aena page gives no distance to the city centre, so we cannot turn this into a total for your trip. The live price for a pre-booked private transfer to Oviedo city is from EUR 98. The live price to Gijon city is from EUR 82. For other places, use the quote tool on this page.
Late night arrivals
The airport bus runs until 00:00. After that, the Aena pages publish no other bus service, so do not assume one. The taxi night tariff is the published option for the early hours.
If you land late, a pre-booked transfer is confirmed before you fly and does not depend on the bus timetable. Give your flight number at booking and check your booking confirmation for how delays are handled. See the late-night page for more.
Families and luggage
The Aena pages we read give no statement on family help, luggage services, strollers or child seats, so we say nothing about them. If you need a child seat, request it when you book a private transfer, give the child's age and weight, and confirm it in your booking confirmation. Do not assume a taxi has one.
With several bags or a stroller, tell your transfer provider the group size and bag count when you book. A taxi tariff for vehicles with more than 6 usable seats includes a small per-km supplement, as shown above.
Where you meet the driver
For the airport bus and the taxi rank, follow the airport signs and ask airport staff if unsure. The Aena pages we read do not give exact stop positions, so we do not describe them. For a pre-booked private transfer, the meeting point and driver details are in your booking confirmation. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, follow the instructions there. If you cannot find your driver, contact the number in your confirmation.

Choose a taxi if: you want to go straight to an address, you land late, or you want a published tariff. Remember the night tariff.
Choose a pre-booked transfer if: you want the price and the driver confirmed before you fly, or you travel as a group or with children.
