At Fuerteventura Airport you can take a taxi from the rank, use a public bus, or pre-book a transfer. This page compares the taxi and the transfer.
The airport taxi
The airport tells passengers to take a taxi only from the signed rank at the terminal, to avoid drivers who offer rides from other areas, and to demand a receipt in case of complaint. The airport page links to fare information and lists a taxi information telephone, +34 828 111 999.

Other destinations
We could not find one official fare table for journeys from the airport. The Canary Islands Government publishes authorised urban taxi tariffs by municipality, including Antigua, La Oliva, Pajara, Puerto del Rosario and Tuineje, but these are urban tariffs and may not apply to a trip from the airport. For that reason we do not quote taxi prices. Ask the driver how the fare is worked out and the expected total before you start.
The pre-booked transfer
The price is shown on this page for your route and confirmed at booking, so you know the amount before you travel. You can ask for a child seat or a larger vehicle when you book. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the confirmation says where the driver meets you.
When each fits
A taxi fits a short run to Puerto del Rosario or Caleta de Fuste (about 14 and 15 km), when you are happy to queue at the rank and agree the fare on the spot.
A transfer fits a long run such as Corralejo (about 30 km) or the Costa Calma and Morro Jable area (about 60 km), a late arrival, a family with children or a lot of luggage, or any time you want the amount confirmed in advance.
The bus as a third option
Buses serve Puerto del Rosario, Caleta de Fuste, Las Salinas, Morro Jable and Gran Tarajal on lines 3, 10 and 16. They suit light luggage and a destination close to a stop. We could not confirm times or fares, so check the operator's information for your date.
A simple way to decide
Ask how far you are going, how much you carry and what time you land. If the answers are a short ride, light bags and a daytime flight, a bus or taxi may be enough. If any answer points the other way, a confirmed transfer removes the guesswork.
