Ercan Airport with Children and Family

Ercan Airport's official passenger guide lists baby care rooms in both the arrival and departure halls, an information desk, a 24-hour first aid point and ATMs. For other family facilities, such as trolleys and lifts, ask at the information desk.

Getting to the accommodation with children

Most areas we serve are roughly 32 to 60 minutes by road from the airport (route database estimates), and some are further. Plan for a long arrival day.

Shuttle bus: the operator lists cities rather than hotel addresses. Children under 5 travel free; from age 5 a paid seat is needed. Free luggage is 2 bags up to 30 kg per passenger. With strollers and bags, the last leg after the bus can be hard.

Taxi: goes to your address, and the airport states a taxi service runs 24 hours. No official fare table was found, so agree how the fare is calculated, and the total, before you set off.

Pre-booked transfer: request a child seat when booking and give your child's age and weight. A larger vehicle can be requested for strollers and luggage. Check your booking confirmation for the meeting point.

Child seat rules

No official statement on child-seat rules for taxis and private vehicles in northern Cyprus was found. Ask your transfer provider what is arranged, and do not assume a taxi at the rank has a seat.

Practical tips

Keep snacks and water in your hand luggage for the road. Free Wi-Fi is listed on the official site, which helps if you need to message your driver. Have your accommodation address saved on your phone.
