What is actually knowable
The geography, which is what drives the price:
- Livingstone town centre — about 6 km, roughly 10 minutes on a paved road.
- Victoria Falls area (Zambian side) — lodges and hotels near the Falls entrance, along Mosi-oa-Tunya Road, a little further out.
- Riverside properties (Royal Livingstone, Avani) — further again along the river, and some operators charge a premium for the extra distance.
- Kasane / Chobe (Botswana) — a cross-border run of about 1.5–2 hours including the Kazungula border post, and priced accordingly.
