The bus situation at night
The municipal EGO 442 runs 24 hours, which makes it the dependable late-night bus — but it takes AnkaraKart or a contactless card, never cash, so sort that out before you need it. The Havaş and AnkaraAir coaches are typically scheduled to match arriving flights, even late ones; if the last flight lands at 1 AM there's usually a coach waiting. That isn't guaranteed, though, and a badly delayed flight may miss it.
Check the operator's website or ask at the airport information desk. If a bus is running, it's still much cheaper than a taxi.
Taxis at night
Good news: Ankara applies the same taxi tariff day and night. There's no night surcharge like in many European cities. And the drive is faster at night — expect 20-25 minutes to Kızılay without traffic, which also means less time on the meter.
Taxis are generally available at the rank 24/7, though the queue might be shorter after midnight. You might wait 5-10 minutes for one to appear.

If you're connecting onward
Catching a night bus from AŞTİ: If you're continuing to another Turkish city by bus, the EGO 442 and the airport coaches all serve AŞTİ (the intercity bus terminal). Many intercity buses depart late at night. Check your bus schedule and plan accordingly.
Catching an early morning YHT train: High-speed trains to Istanbul start around 6 AM from Ankara Garı. If your flight arrives after midnight, you could taxi to a hotel near the station and rest before your train.
