Taxis at the airport

The airport lists 11 taxi companies at Level 00 and publishes contact details for each one on its website. It does not publish a fare table. That leaves you to agree how the fare is set, and the total, before you get in. Ask whether the price covers all passengers and bags and whether tolls are included. Keep your address saved on your phone, because the ride to the boroughs is long: our route database estimates about 28 km to Gustavo A. Madero, about 40 km to Miguel Hidalgo and about 51 km to Alvaro Obregon.

Pre-booked private transfer

A pre-booked transfer is arranged before you fly. The price is shown when you request a quote on this page and is confirmed at booking. Check your booking confirmation for the meeting point and for how flight delays are handled. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the driver meets you as stated there.

What the public options look like

The Felipe Angeles train runs to Buenavista and, according to the airport, takes about 60 minutes at present. Buses run from 19 reference points. Both end at a station or a reference point, not at your door, so you pay for and manage a last leg yourself.

How to choose

Choose a taxi if: you arrive in daytime, travel light, and are comfortable agreeing a fare on the spot.

Choose a pre-booked transfer if: you want the arrangement settled before you fly, you arrive at night, you travel with children or many bags, or you are a group. Request a child seat at booking and give the child's age and weight, because no official statement on child seats in airport taxis was found.

Choose the train or a bus if: you travel light, your hotel is near Buenavista or a bus reference point, and you accept a change of vehicle.

A note on checking

Before you leave the terminal with any driver, confirm that the person is working for the company you booked or one of the companies the airport lists. When in doubt, go back to the airport information points and ask. Keep the booking confirmation or the company's contact details open on your phone while you do. If something does not match what you agreed, say so before the trip starts, not after it.
