Preveza Aktion Airport serves two distinct sets of destinations — Preveza city to the east, and Lefkada island to the west. Prices reflect the distances involved.

To Lefkada west coast beaches (Porto Katsiki, Egremni)
These beaches are not near any accommodation — they are day trip destinations accessed by car. If you are going directly from the airport to a property near the west coast, it is a mountain road journey and distances vary. Expect 55-75 EUR for properties near the west coast clifftops.
What affects the price
Night surcharge: Greek taxi Tariff 2 applies midnight to 5 AM, adding 20-30% to fares. A 50 EUR Nidri fare becomes approximately 62-65 EUR after midnight.
Vehicle size: Minivan transfers cost 10-20 EUR more than standard sedans. Worth it for families.
Return airport transfers: The reverse journey (resort to airport) follows similar pricing. Book this in advance — taxis in Nidri and Vassiliki are not always available on short notice.
Is there a budget alternative?
For Preveza city, a taxi at 8-12 EUR is already inexpensive. For Lefkada, there is no meaningful budget alternative to a taxi or transfer from the airport. Some travellers take a taxi to the junction near Lefkada bridge (cheaper) and then a local bus onward, but this is impractical with luggage and the time savings rarely justify the complexity.
