Arriving at Samsun Carsamba Airport Late at Night

Samsun-Carsamba Airport (SZF) is about 25 km from the city centre, according to the state airport operator, so a late landing deserves a plan. This page sets out what is published and what we could not confirm.

How Samair timetables work

Samair is the municipal airport bus, operated by SAMULAS, a company of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality. Its departure times follow flight times, and the next seven days of departures are published on the line pages at samair.samsun.bel.tr and in the SAMULAS app. That is helpful: you can look up the run for your own flight. But we could not confirm that a run is timed to every late arrival, so check the page for your flight date.

Reservations close 2 hours before

The municipal helpline, ALO 153, takes Samair reservations 24 hours a day, up to 2 hours before departure. If your flight is delayed, a reservation made for a different time may no longer fit, so keep the line page open on your phone.

Taxis at night

The airport operator lists commercial taxis and refers to an airport taxi cooperative. We found no official statement about how many taxis wait late in the evening or at night, so we cannot promise availability. If you take a taxi, agree whether the fare is metered or fixed, and the total, before you set off. Our route estimates put Ilkadim at about 19 km and 28 minutes and Atakum at about 25 km and 38 minutes, so this is a ride of some length.

Arranging the ride in advance

For a late landing, the most reliable step is to remove the question. A pre-booked transfer is a fixed price shown live on this page and confirmed at booking. Give your flight number when you book, and check the booking confirmation for the meeting point and how delays are handled. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, the confirmation says where the driver meets you.

Before you leave the terminal

• Have the address of your accommodation written down, in Turkish if you can.
• Keep your booking confirmation or contact details where you can open them without data.
• If your plans change, tell whoever is meeting you before you leave the terminal.

The bottom line

Samair publishes timetables by flight time, but we could not confirm a run for every late flight, and we found no night taxi information. For a late arrival, check the Samair page for your flight or plan on a pre-booked transfer.
