GZP - Alanya

How much it costs to get from Gazipaşa Airport to your destination

Last updated: April 2026

GZP is a small airport with limited ground transport options. Pricing is simpler than at larger airports, but none of it is published by an authority — so the useful preparation is knowing the distances and getting a quote in advance, not memorising a fare.

Havas bus to Alanya

The Havas shuttle runs to Alanya Otogar (bus station) during peak summer season and is the cheapest option by a wide margin if you are heading to central Alanya and travelling light. Gazipasa Airport does not publish the fare on its own site — it refers you to Havas — so check havas.net or the Havas mobile app for the current price. The journey takes around 45-55 minutes. Service is seasonal and tied to flight schedules — availability is not guaranteed outside summer or for late-night flights. From the bus station, you still need local transport to your final address.

Taxi prices

Taxis at GZP typically agree a fixed price rather than use the meter for airport trips, and no published tariff covers the route. Lira fares also move with inflation faster than any guide can track, so a printed range would mislead you rather than help. Agree the price before you get in, and use the distance as your sanity check:

Important caveat: taxi supply at GZP is limited. The rank has a small number of vehicles. When multiple flights land at the same time, available taxis are taken quickly. If you arrive and the rank is empty, you may wait 20-30 minutes or more. This is not a concern at larger airports, but it is a real factor at GZP.

Pre-booked transfers

Transfer prices are set by the operator and quoted when you book, for a sedan (1-3 passengers) or a minivan (4-6). They scale with the distances above: the resort areas east of Alanya are the cheapest runs, Alanya centre sits in the middle, and Side is several times more because it is 100 km in the other direction. A transfer price normally includes airport pickup, driver waiting time, and direct service to your hotel or villa address — check that it does before comparing two quotes.

What affects the price

Distance is the main factor. Alanya itself is 40 km. Closer resort areas (Mahmutlar, Kargicak) are meaningfully cheaper. Side in the opposite direction is 100 km and priced accordingly.

Taxi supply constraint affects effective pricing. When taxis are scarce, the negotiating position shifts toward the driver. Knowing the benchmark rates above gives you a floor to negotiate from.

Season has some impact. Peak July-August sees high demand for all transport from GZP. During shoulder season (May-June, October), fares are marginally lower and availability is less strained.

Currency fluctuation means lira prices shift over time, and quickly. TRY-denominated taxi fares adjust with the market, which is exactly why this page does not print one. Transfers quoted in EUR are more stable for advance budgeting.

The value calculation

For Alanya centre (40 km): the Havas bus is much the cheapest if you are travelling light and it is running. A pre-booked transfer is the most convenient. A taxi sits in the middle — reasonable if you negotiate well and one is actually at the rank.

For Mahmutlar or Kargicak (25-30 km): these resort areas east of Alanya are closer to the airport than the town centre, so they are the cheapest transfers of the lot. The Havas bus does not go there — you would need a taxi from Alanya bus station if you took the bus, which usually cancels out the saving.

For Side (100 km): GZP is not the ideal airport for Side — Antalya Airport (AYT) is about 65 km from Side and has far more flights. From GZP the drive is 80-100 minutes and costs accordingly, whether by transfer or taxi.

Tipping

Tipping is appreciated in Turkey. For transfer drivers, 10% or rounding up is appropriate. For taxi drivers, rounding up to the nearest round figure is standard.
